VMware officially is part of Broadcom.

After more than a year of negotiations, Broadcom President and CEO Honk Tan officially announced the successful acquisition of VMware.

"Our goal is to help customers optimize their private, hybrid and multi-cloud enterprises, allowing them to run applications and services anywhere," the CEO said in an official statement through Broadcom's website.

In addition, he mentioned his commitment to innovation, and his intentions to continue investing in the optimization and growth of VMware.
